We are pleased to announce our regional tournament hosted by Hosted by Master Darin and Mrs. Gena Prazer

Tournaments are controlled competitive environments that allow practitioners to display and improve their skills in a safe environment. Although some may think it is all about "who is better", that is only a part of their purpose in Songahm Taekwondo. Tournaments are a great opportunity for increasing skills as well as boosting confidence and are helpful to students, and one of the most dynamic, fun aspects of the art.

2018 Regional Tournament

We are very excited to host the 2018 Augusta Regional ATA Tournament, February 17, 2018.

The tournament will be held at Augusta University’s Christenberry Fieldhouse, 3109 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30909

Tournaments allow you to meet new people, make new friends, put nerves to the test, and display skills. By focusing on these purposes, it is very possible to be happy whether one wins or loses.  Master Prazer is well known for saying that people won't remember what place you got at at Tournament 10 years ago, but they will remember how you behaved and treated others!!

The challenge of competition is what will make you become a better martial artist whether you win or not.  You train harder to try to win and that is what will help make you just a bit better.  Challenge yourself consistently and you will find that your skills increase over time.  In order to make our muscles stronger, we must challenge them and push them.  To make our minds smarter and sharper, we must challenge them by trying new experiences, reading books that make us think, solving problems & puzzles!  Martial Arts classes will do this, however when you compete, you challenge both your mind and body even more!

Hope to see you challenge yourself and remember, "Yes You Can!"
